Frequently asked questions

No – you do not need to sign in in order to take advantage of our
webstore. However we do recommend that you do you – it will save your
information for next time as well as keep all of your past orders to
help you remember what you liked last time.

Your payment, personal and delivery details. You can input more than one
delivery address if you would like it sent to your work one day, your
home the next and your bach when on holiday.

For our payments on credit or debit cards we use PayPal. At the checkout
stage you will be taken to a page with some options: Pay via your
PayPal account, Pay via PayPal with your credit/debit card (you don't
need an account - use this as you would for any other online store), and
we also offer a bank transfer option.

Yes – you sure can. Just specify this address when it asks for it on
payment. If you would like to send multiple gifts within one purchase we
ask you to contact us before putting through your order and we shall
sort this out with you. If you are an overseas visitor and are worried
about currency conversion - please see our FAQ "Can I purchase wines
from overseas" below.

I am afraid that The Cellar will not be able to do so. If the person who
answers the door looks under 25, the courier will ask for ID and will
refuse if they are found to be under 18. In this case a calling card
will be left for you, to pick up or arrange another delivery. Remember
that you must be 18 or over in order to purchase alcohol and if you
aren’t then you are breaking the law.

All parcels need a signature on delivery. If you are not home a calling
card will be left for you to pick up or arrange an alternative delivery.
If you don’t think you will be home then we recommend you put the
delivery address as your business address – or opt in for a weekend
delivery.

Every so often we will have a discount code that we are offering. You
must enter this when you are ready to make your purchase. The prices on
the items will not appear as reduced until you come to the final
checkout page.

You sure can. You probably noticed the currency converter at the top of
of our website. Here you can use the current exchange rates available to
see what our prices are in: British Pounds, US Dollars, Australian
Dollars, Euro, and NZ Dollars. Browse around and add items to your cart
in your particular currency for ease. Your cart will appear in your
chosen currency, though note that the checkout can only be programmed to
be in NZ Dollars and you may be charged a small off-line currency
converter surcharge on payment.
